My role as your Postpartum Doula is to provide your growing family with steady and continuous support, after the birth of your baby. I offer gentle, overnight care for your baby while you rest, recover and recharge.
My goal is to ease the nighttime challenges so you can get the sleep you need, feel more present during
the day, and have the space to bond with your baby in a calm and supported environment. Whether it’s feeding, soothing, or simply holding space, I’m here to nurture both baby and parents through those precious early weeks.
During the night, I will lovingly tend to your baby’s needs. I will feed, burp, diaper, soothe, and offer comfort during wakeful moments.
Feeding - If your baby is bottle-feeding, I will handle the breastmilk and/or formula preparation. If your baby is breastfeeding, I will bring your little one to you so that you don’t have to get up, and once baby is done eating, I will take him/her to continue care, allowing you to go right back to sleep.
Bathing - If you would like me to give your baby a bath before bedtime, or simply just assist you while you do it, I will gladly do so.
Overall, I create a calm and peaceful environment so your little one feels safe and nurtured, while giving you the space to rest, recover, and bond during the day. My goal is to bring you peace of mind knowing your baby is in caring, experienced hands while you get the sleep your body and mind truly need.
With my experience as a NICU nurse, I also provide specialized overnight support for families with medically fragile newborns. Whether your baby is transitioning home after a NICU stay or has ongoing needs such as oxygen support, feeding tubes, or other specialized equipment that require close monitoring, you can rest easy, knowing they’re in expert and compassionate hands. My care is gentle, attentive, and always aligned with any medical guidance your baby may be following, giving you peace of mind and the rest you need to recover and bond as a family.
I understand that breastfeeding can sometimes be a very challenging experience, whether you are a first time mom or have breastfed before. Every journey is unique, and it is completely normal to encounter moments of frustration, doubt, or discomfort along the way. If you are struggling with the breastfeeding process, I will help with proper positioning and latching tips as needed, and ensure that you and baby are comfortable throughout the process.
I will help in performing light housekeeping duties such as organizing the nursery, stocking the baby’s dressing table with diapers and supplies, wash and fold baby’s laundry, washing and sterilizing baby’s bottles and mom’s breast pump parts, keeping the sink and countertops neat after milk or meal preparation. By taking care of these tasks, my goal is to allow you to focus your time on your physical and emotional recovery.
I know that finding the time to prepare meals and snacks can be difficult in the early postpartum period. As part of my support, I’m happy to prepare simple and nourishing meals and snacks, from what you already have in your refrigerator/pantry, to have ready and available for you. Whether it’s a quick warm breakfast or an easy-to-grab snack, my goal is to make sure you’re cared for and well fed so you can focus on healing and resting.
I’m here to offer non-judgmental support, encouragement, and guidance to help you navigate any challenges that arise, and to celebrate your wins, big or small. I will also provide you with a shoulder to cry on and a listening ear, so that you can express yourself and your emotions as much as you need to. I provide gentle guidance around healthy sleep routines and newborn cues, helping you feel more confident and connected as you get to know your baby. You’re not alone, and I’m honored to walk alongside you during this important time.
As you navigate the highs and lows of becoming a parent, and the do’s and don’ts of caring for your newborn, I will be readily available to educate you on newborn safety tips and guidelines. I will be providing as needed educational support and evidence-based resources to help you become familiar with what to expect when caring for your baby. Some of the topics will include safe sleep, water safety, temperature regulation, baby wearing, infant care red flags to be aware of, and caring for your medically fragile baby (if applicable).
